Beer dilution system is primarily used to improve production efficiency, reduce equipment and energy costs, and enable flexible product line management. During the mashing and fermentation stages, a high-concentration wort (e.g., 12°P or higher) is produced instead of the final desired concentration (e.g., 8°P). This allows each fermenter to yield more alcohol per batch, maximizing tank utilization. After fermentation, the beer is diluted before packaging, quickly increasing the final output volume. Beer dilution system also reduces the number of fermenters required and lowers cleaning, refrigeration, and transportation costs per unit of product, resulting in significant energy and cost savings. In addition, high gravity beer can be diluted and blended to create different styles and strengths—such as light beers or non-alcoholic beers—offering greater flexibility and product diversity to meet market demand.

Here, let us talk about our 10000L/hr beer dilution system in details.

III. Advantages of our 10000L/hr beer dilution system
As the beer market increasingly favors lighter beers, breweries are using higher dilution ratios, placing greater demands on high-gravity dilution systems. Only advanced mixing processes and equipment can ensure beer quality and taste. Otherwise, issues such as bland flavor, coarse foam, poor foam retention, reduced mouthfeel, lighter color, poor body harmony, and reduced non-biological stability may arise. Based on these challenges, our beer dilution system has adopted the following process equipment to ensure beer quality:

1. PID Volumetric Blending System Description:
This system consists of high-precision electromagnetic flow meters, control valves, proportioning pumps, and corresponding mixing pipelines. A high-precision electromagnetic flow meter with an accuracy of 0.2% is used to calculate the original high-gravity beer and carbonated water volumes. Together with an inline dissolved oxygen analyzer, the system accurately controls the dilution process and provides real-time display of the target concentration. A pneumatic diaphragm control valve adjusts the amount of dilution water based on the concentration, ensuring the average concentration of the diluted beer. To avoid nonlinearity in control and equipment vibration affecting the accuracy of the flow meter and other instruments during low-ratio mixing, a frequency converter controls the dilution water pump for fine concentration adjustments. The system continuously adjusts water flow to maintain the set beer-to-deoxygenated water ratio. This mixing ratio is pre-set on the control panel, and the control system adjusts the flow via the water line control valve based on flow data from the beer and deoxygenated water, achieving the desired dilution ratio. Our system uses a Siemens PLC controller and smart control valves, integrated with a Chinese-language human-machine interface, ensuring smooth, accurate, reliable operation with long service life and strong interference resistance.

2. Mixing System:
The high-gravity beer and carbonated water are fully blended using a specially designed mixer and further homogenized in a uniquely designed U-shaped pipeline. Under the combined effects of the mixer and the pressurized pipeline, CO₂ dissolves stably into the beer.
The unique mixing structure transitions beer flow from laminar to radial and turbulent states, significantly improving the mixing efficiency of beer, water, CO₂, and any additives.

3. CO₂ Inline Monitoring and Injection System:
An advanced inline CO₂ monitoring system continuously tracks the CO₂ content of the blended beer and adjusts CO₂ injection through a regulating valve based on the set target. This ensures that CO₂ content remains within the process control range. CO₂ detection accuracy reaches 0.05 g/L.

4. Blended Beer Pump and Frequency Control:
A sanitary-level liquid level sensor monitors the level in the post-buffer tank and adjusts the frequency of the sanitary beer pump accordingly. This ensures a stable and sufficient flow rate of base beer to the mixing system.

5. Sterile CO₂ Filtration System:
A dual-stage filtration system ensures that the added CO₂ meets microbiological standards. A metal rotor flow meter is included to measure the CO₂ injection volume.
